The packing list
EJGA guests should bring, golf clubs, golf shoes, smart
casual golf wear, smart shoes, two pairs of jeans / trousers
or trainer bottoms, swimming kit, shorts, sufficient underwear,
at least two sets of footwear including a pair of trainers
suitable for getting wet, a coat or jacket, washbag with
a couple of towels, and a torch. This is an activity holiday,
so the clothing should reflect this, being tough and easily
washed rather than expensive. Each item should be name tagged.
We can’t indemnify for loss or damage to expensive
possessions which are best left at home. Valuables, such
as train tickets, cash and passports, can be securely stored
in the centre manager’s office.
Pocket money
As the activities are included in the package there is little
need for large amounts of cash. Most children arrive with
between five and twenty pounds per week. Pocket money is
‘banked’ on arrival, withdrawals being made
from the Kids Klub Café. This meets the dual aims
of guarding against accidental loss and encouraging sensible
budgeting.
Timings
Residential arrivals between 2pm and 4pm on Sunday, Residential
departures up to midday on Saturday
Keeping in touch
We have coin and card operated phones and even a fax service
if necessary. If you feel it is necessary to phone your
child ring the centre office and they will arrange a convenient
time. Mobile phones are permitted but we strongly recommend
that these are handed-in to the centre manager who will
issue them outside of activity time. This ensures that safety
is maintained during the activity time and that no phones
are misplaced.
Unescorted travel
Pick-ups from local train, coach or bus stations are included
in the package, and for our foreign guests we can also collect
from airports and ferries for the cost of the taxi fare.
Just tell us your needs on the booking form.
Ups and downs
What really matters to the EJGA is that every one of our
guests has the best possible time. If anything needs to
be brought to our attention after the programme is complete,
please contact Maggie or any of our staff at the Kids Klub
Head Office at Finborough Hall.
If a problem is fed back to a parent it is vital they inform
the centre manager or the team leader so we can act. All
feedback is valued as it helps us improve and adapt our
holidays. If anything needs bringing to our attention after
the is complete, contact Maggie, a dedicated staffer at
Head Office, with whom any such matters can be raised.
Further notes
Some activities may not always be available, this may be
due to weather or for those on shorter visits due to activities
not being on the programme that particular day. We reserve
the right to charge for breakages or send a child home should
they consistently disrupt another child’s holiday
or deliberately break camp rules.
